Support & Troubleshooting
Need help with Email Domain Doctor? Here are answers to common questions and troubleshooting instructions.
How to use in ChatGPT
When the plugin is enabled in ChatGPT, you can simply ask:
- “Check the email DNS setup for example.com.”
- “Does example.com have DMARC configured?”
- “Can you check whether the SPF configuration for example.com looks correct?”
- “Verify DKIM for example.com using selector 'selector1'.”
Common Questions
- DNS Propagation: If you recently made changes to your DNS records, please allow time for your DNS TTL to expire (typically 15 minutes to 24 hours) before re-checking.
- DKIM Selectors: DKIM keys are stored under specific selectors chosen by your email provider (e.g.
google, selector1, k1). If you do not provide a selector, DKIM check status will be reported as not_checked.
- Inbox Placement: Email Domain Doctor validates technical DNS syntax and records. It does not measure recipient spam filtering algorithms or IP address reputation.
